Guadalupe Trail Repaving
Many of us were shocked at the obvious widening of Guadalupe Trail between Chavez and Tyler when it was repaved recently. It is unclear whether or not the Village is ever going to remedy the diminished pedestrian (equestrian, baby carriage, bicycling etc) friendliness of this section of our beautiful semi-rural roadway. Guadalupe / Chavez
The 9 acre property at the corner of Guadalupe Trail and Chavez Street was purchase by Jim Long, who has received approval for a “conservation” development of 16 homes, with a little over 2 acres preserved as open space. This has been staunchly opposed by some residents, and generally opposed by many more. We do not know for sure what will happen there. Read more.

Described by former Mayor Lopez as an “economic engine” for Los Rachos, the ‘Village Center’ development at 4th and Osuna is not at all what Villagers planned, voted for, or in any way wanted. Yet here we are. FOLR opposed this development with all of our resources, including a winning lawsuit. But it wasn’t enough. Read more
